Skin cancer is one of the most common cancers in the world.

Non-melanoma skin cancer refers to a group of cancers that slowly develop in the upper layers of the skin. Melanoma is a type of skin cancer that can spread to other organs in the body.

The overall aims of the Skin Expert Advisory Group (EAG) are to provide specialist advice and guidance to the West Midlands Cancer Alliance on the standards of service for patients with skin cancers reflecting current best practice and opportunities for development.

The Skin EAG will aim to ensure that patients receive high quality equitable cancer care throughout the West Midlands regardless of geography or socio-economic factors and will, wherever possible, endeavour to improve the standard of care provided.
