Gynaecology

Gynaecological cancers are separated into cervical, ovarian, endometrial/uterine, vaginal and vulval cancer with varying treatment dependent upon the site of cancer.

The overall aim of the Gynaecology Expert Advisory Group (EAG)  is to provide specialist advice and guidance to the West Midlands Cancer Alliance (WMCA) on the standards of service for patients with gynaecological cancers reflecting current best practice and opportunities for development.

The Gynaecology EAG aims to ensure that patients with gynaecological cancers receive high quality equitable cancer care throughout the West Midlands regardless of geography or socio-economic factors and will, wherever possible, endeavour to improve the standard of care provided.

Chair: Smruta Shanbhag, Consultant Gynaecologist and Gynaecological Oncologist, University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust

Deputy Chair: VACANT
