We’re partnering with leading innovators to help transform services for cancer patients across the West Midlands.
Following our successful SBRI bid, we will be a part of the national trial for QP-Prostate; an AI-powered software that helps radiologists detect prostate cancer earlier and more accurately from MRI scans. This programme is aimed at enhancing the MRI radiology process by highlighting and supporting decision making around cancer detection at two of our hospitals in the West Midlands.
We’re partnering with industry partners and the East Midlands Cancer Alliance (EMCA) via a formal solutions finding platform; aimed at partnering with private sector organisations to define solutions to our most pressured tumour site specialties.
Based on local research on deprivation, limitations and information around attending Breast Screening, we have employed a number of methods aimed at reducing our DNA rates across our most deprived areas.
An in-theatre PET CT Scanner, used to analyse resected tumour tissue during surgery. Specimen margins from Head and Neck and Prostate patients can be checked on a live basis potentially reducing re-surgery rates whilst radically improving patient outcomes.
