The simple home test that could be 'amazing' for bladder cancer patients

Trevor Field knows how uncomfortable tests for bladder cancer can be.

In the 13 years since the 81-year-old was diagnosed, he has had more cystoscopies than he can count.

Our ambition is to work with Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) and NHS providers to improve the delivery of cancer services across the West Midlands to ensure patients get the highest standard of care.

The Challenge

6.5 million people live in the West Midlands. 600 cancer cases are diagnosed per 100,000 people every year – this is set to increase as our population ages. By 2030 there will be some 135,000 people living with and beyond cancer.

Who We Work With

We bring together clinical and managerial leaders from different hospital trusts and other health and social care organisations across the West Midlands, to transform the diagnosis, treatment and care for cancer patients in our local area.

These partnerships enable care to be more effectively planned across local cancer pathways to benefit people living in Birmingham and Solihull, the Black Country, Coventry and Warwickshire, Herefordshire and Worcestershire, Shropshire and Staffordshire.
