But for many patients and carers, the most difficult moments happen quietly in between.

Clinical resources support the work of the West Midlands Cancer Alliance across the West Midlands region and are nationally and regionally produced in partnership with a range of organisations. 

These range from clinical guidelines and pathways to specifications for use by clinicians in their professional practice. Many of the resources specific to clinical practice in cancer services provided in the West Midlands can be found in this section.

Other useful websites for healthcare professionals to review are the local (West Midlands) clinical trials portfolio and the National (NIHR) portfolio. The Digital Portfolio Maps has various filters which can be used to search for disease specific studies. The Digital Portfolio Maps do include some commercial studies, these have been checked with regards to their accessibility to the public and are also available on the Be Part of Research website.
