Children's

The overall aim of the Children’s Expert Advisory Group (EAG) is to provide specialist advice and guidance to the West Midlands Cancer Alliance (WMCA) on the standards of service for children with cancer reflecting current best practice and opportunities for development.

The children’s EAG aims to ensure that patients with cancer receive high quality equitable cancer care throughout the West Midlands regardless of geography or socio-economic factors and will, wherever possible, endeavour to improve the standard of care provided.

The consultation on proposed changes to the service specifications for children’s cancer services and teenager and young adults cancer services (TYA) closed on 4 August 2019.  The results will be published later this year. Details of the consultation can be found using the above link.
