The Aspirant Cancer Career Education and Development (ACCEND) programme provides clear and transparent guidance on what skills, knowledge and capabilities certain healthcare professionals need to care for people affected by cancer. Watch this NHS ACCEND framework presentation video to learn more.
The framework offers the opportunity for the workforce at all levels of practice to develop and evidence their knowledge and capabilities, which will then support the best standards of care as well as providing a meaningful structure for a healthcare career and role development.
The West Yorkshire & Harrogate Cancer Alliance have developed an interactive tool to help identify a suggested ACCEND level of practice for individuals. Click here to access the tool.
Whilst there is currently no dedicated ePortfolio app available, the ePortfolio team is continually developing and enhancing the platform. The development of a mobile app is currently being explored, and any updates or announcements will be shared on this page.
In the meantime, the developers have been focusing on improving the mobile accessibility of the ePortfolio and have recently introduced several enhancements to make the platform more user friendly when accessed on mobile devices. We remain committed to improving the user experience and are making every effort to provide the best possible mobile access while the app development project progresses.
Use the national ACCEND course explorer to find courses aligned with the Aspirant Cancer Career Education and Development Framework (ACCEND). A new national website designed to support the cancer workforce with learning and career development.
The Course Explorer brings together education, training and useful resources from across the UK that link directly to the Aspirant Cancer Career Education and Development (ACCEND) framework. It’s easy to use and helps you see what learning is available, what it links to, and how it can support your development in cancer care.
