West Midlands Cancer Alliance takes to community radio as guests of WCR FM to talk about all things cancer-related.
Harvir Singh was be a special guest on Chris Allen's Sunday Show and was joined by Jodie Furby, Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent ICB's Cancer Service Improvement Manager.WCR FM is the only dedicated radio service for those who live and work in Wolverhampton and surrounding areas.
The extensive chat covered a wide range of topics including the prevalence of cancer, early diagnosis, problems associated with smoking, alcohol and social deprivation.Harvir, WMCA's Senior Programme Manager: Early Diagnosis, said: "It's a fantastic opportunity to spread the word about some of the great work that is going on across the West Midlands to transform all aspects of cancer care, not just early diagnosis, and to show how we are working with our ICB colleagues.
I think maybe what was most useful was to explain what WMCA is and how we are working with the full range of local partners within and outside the NHS."
