This insight report explores the current provision of cervical screening in sexual health clinics (SHCs) and how involved Cancer Alliances are in monitoring this service.
OUTpatients have spoken with Cancer Alliances across England to gather insights into how this service is provided. From this data they have drawn up a list of recommendations to improve monitoring and coordination between cancer and sexual health services so that the LGBTIQ+ community can continue to access sustainable life-saving screening services at SHCs. OUTpatients believe this will help drive cervical screening uptake among LGBTIQ+ communities and achieve the NHS England Eliminate Cervical Cancer Plan without leaving this community behind.
